  • Calentamiento
    • ¡Saquen ustedes el vocabulario!
    • ¡Saquen ustedes sus CUADERNOS y SAMs!
      • Notebook out!  SAM out!  
    • Then, go to a new page.  
    • Title the page  “Calentamiento
    • Then, using your vocab, please write 3-5 sentences that say "I like to ---”and 1-2 sentences that say “I don't like to---.”
      • If you already did this, you can sit back and practice!
  • Expectations for proof you studied
    • If you haven’t yet, please label each section or each word:
      • What you already know (with a checkmark or :D!)
      • What you remember but need to review (**)
        • If you just need to work on SPELLING, you can write SP
      • What you haven’t learned or don’t remember learning (use a ?? or other symbol)
    • Make a flashcard for every word with **, SP, or ??
  • Let’s correct the quizzes!!
    • I will show what
      I am doing, silently, on the camera.   
    • If you have questions, please quietly raise your hand!
    • Quiz self-correction is worth 25 quiz/test score points!
  • ¡LA CELEBRACIÓN DE INDEPENDENCIA!
    • Please take some pan dulce (sweet bread), and tortillas with traditional salsa!

La Tarea: Please create PROOF YOU STUDIED by MARCH 4th, when I see you next!


Either make FLASHCARDS for every word with **, SP, or ??, or

get a trusted adult signature on your Vocab Sheet stating what you did to study.

¡Hola hola, clase!  ¡Feliz Día de Groundhog!  Here's the presentation we used today!!


  • ¡CALENTAMIENTO! (Warm up!)
    • ¡Saquen ustedes LA CÓMICA!
    • Then, look at the SHEET you picked up!
      • What do you AGREE WITH?
        • Highlight or underline!
    • What do you NOT agree with?
      • Cross those off!
    • What are you willing to AGREE TO do in Spanish class?
  • Let's AGREE!
    • Talk in your groups; WHAT DO YOU AGREE TO DO?Let’s look back over our list from last week.
        • What can we agree to, together?
    • WHICH 10 DOES YOUR GROUP AGREE are the MOST IMPORTANT IDEAS?!??
      • Ms. Williams will type them all up!

    • Please choose one dialogue sheet!
    • First, we will review some of the answers to "¿Cómo estás tú?"
    • Then, we will have about 5 minutes to ask EACH of the questions:
      • ¿Cómo estás tú? and
      • ¿Cómo te llamas?
    • Please ask the one that comes first on your sheet first!
      • This means that we get the chance to answer both, and have to listen to know which one!

La agenda de lunes, el 1 de febrero

¡Hola hola, clase!  ¡Feliz febrero!  Here's the presentation we used today!!


Here's the agenda for today:
  • ¡CALENTAMIENTO! (Warm up!)
    • ¡Saquen ustedes el vocabulario, las tarjetas, tu SAM, y la tarea!
    • PLEASE TAKE OUT your: 
      • vocab sheet, 
      • proof you studied, 
      • SAM, and the
      • NEW PACKET from the front!
  • Quick NOTES:
  • Grab the DINOSAUR EGG!
    • Now that we've reviewed the GREETINGS, GOODBYES, and how to ask people their names!
      • Come up one at a time from your tables!
    • Grab the Dino, and then say the word!
      • DON’T YELL OUT unless you’ve got the dino!
  • Let's make a COMIC!!
    • GUIDELINES:
      • You can include ANY WORDS from our VOCABULARY SHEET! → How are you?, What is your name?, Nice to meet you, Goodbye!
      • Make sure each person (or stick figure) has at least FOUR SENTENCES/QUESTIONS (complete with verbs).
      • There should be at least TWO speech bubbles in every panel (or box) of your comic.
      • Be sure make one person a teacher or other adult, and use usted!
  • Help with the comic - ON THE BACK!
    • Here's an example for how your comic could go:
    • Hello!  How are you?
      • I’m well!  And you?
    • I’m great!  What is your name?
      • I’m ________!  What is your name?
    • My name is ________.  
      • It’s nice to meet you!
    • Likewise!!   OK, goodbye!
      • See you!
        • MAKE SURE YOU USE ONLY THE WORDS WE HAVE LEARNED/THAT ARE IN YOUR VOCABULARY SHEET!!
La tarea, or the HOMEWORK: Create your comic!

Write in COMPLETE SENTENCES in Spanish!
(Make sure you have a VERB in almost every line!)
